Two-star Mansfield prospect commits to Nebraska
Nebraska’s new head coach Scott Frost loves the Mansfield Tigers. He just landed two in four days.
Two-star safety Corbin Frederick is the latest to commit with the Cornhuskers, announcing his decision via Twitter on Tuesday.

He also considered Navy and San Diego.
“I think Nebraska presents the best opportunity for me, and it felt like home,” Frederick said. “They have an amazing coaching staff and that made it much easier.”
Frederick joins his teammate in the secondary, fellow Mansfield safety Cam’ron Jones, who committed to the Cornhuskers on Saturday night.
“Honestly that wasn’t the deciding factor. I would’ve been there even if he went elsewhere, but it’s going to be great,” Frederick said. “If we ever end up on the field at the same time it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Mansfield finished 11-2 in 2017, winning the District 4-6A title, and went to the Class 6A Division II regional round for the second straight season. Frederick made over 100 tackles the past two years, and was voted first team all-district in 2016.
