Arlington Martin-Odessa Permian football playoff game is live Friday on KTXA

The TXA 21 High School Football Game of the Week is headed to UTA Maverick Stadium on Friday when the Arlington Martin Warriors (10-1) host the Odessa Permian Panthers (9-1). Game time is 3:30 p.m. on KTXA/Ch. 21

Martin shut out Keller 62-0 in the Class 6A Division I bi-district round. Permian beat El Paso Coronado 50-17.

Last week, the Euless Trinity-Plano playoff football game was live on KTXA. Preliminary overnights showed 35,611 total viewers. That’s about 40 percent higher than two live regular-season games: Frisco Independence-Frisco and DeSoto-South Grand Prairie.

In 2010, a state quarterfinal game between Trinity and Coppell drew 96,960 viewers and a 1.4 rating on KTXA/Ch. 21.
