Whose state title dreams are crushed this week?

The Texas high school football playoffs start on Thursday with the bi-district round. The TAPPS postseason begins Friday.

Undefeated teams Denton Ryan, Midlothian Heritage, Fort Worth South Hills, Keller Fossil Ridge and All Saints look to keep their perfect seasons going on their way to a state championship.

Another unbeaten team, the Aledo Bearcats look to defend their Class 5A Division II state title and a seventh in nine years.

Haltom is trying to win its first playoff game in 20 years. Halset Eaton and Fort Worth YMLA get their first taste of playoff action.
