Keller can’t rob Fossil Ridge of perfection

Cobe Craft threw four touchdown passes to lead Keller Fossil Ridge as the Panthers finished off the first perfect regular season in school history with the 41-40 win against rival Keller at Keller ISD Stadium.

Trailing 19-14, Fossil Ridge flipped momentum its way with two quick scores at the end of the second quarter. Fossil Ridge had a 28-19 lead at the break.

Keller’s Sloan Henry connected with Michael Anderson on a pair of touchdown passes in the second half. Craft answered for Fossil Ridge after each Keller score, throwing touchdowns to Travis Newell and Jaylen Hearst. The pass to Hearst put the Panthers up 41-32 with 2:01 left in the game.

Key players: Craft completed 11 of 20 passes for 168 yards and added 60 yards rushing. Henry threw for 260 yards with three touchdowns. Marco Olivas had a 35-yard interception return for a touchdown. The Indians’ Devon Collins led all rushers with 117 yards on 17 carries.

Key statistic: Keller turned the ball over on downs three times.
