Bowie runs over Paschal in season finale

Arlington Bowie senior Branden Ellis had a 32-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter as the Volunteers defeated Paschal in the regular-season finale in a District 4- 6A game at Farrington Field.
Key players: Bowie sophomore quarterback Jaylon Jones threw for 159 yards on nine completions for three touchdowns to lead the Volunteers offensively. Ellis added 151 on the ground for Bowie on 19 touches with two scores. Paschal senior quarterback Cooper Bates ran for a 17-yard touchdown and totaled 158 yards passing.
Key statistic: Though the teams had almost identical passing yards, Bowie’s ground game shined as the Vols had 321 yards to the Panthers’ 157.
