Running back rakes as Eaton punches first-ever playoff ticket vs. Brewer

Haslet Eaton clinched a playoff spot in its second year of varsity football as running back Titus Swen scored on a 1-yard run with 1:32 left, giving the Eagles a 38-31 victory over White Settlement Brewer at Brewer Bear Stadium. Swen, the star of second-half shootout which featured seven touchdowns, rushed for 124 yards and scored three touchdowns.
Key players: Eaton sophomore receiver Luke Jeskevic caught a 19-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, then threw a 66-yard touchdown pass to Swen on a flea-flicker in the third. A receiver for each team had more than 100 yards receiving: Eaton’s Travell Geiger, five catches for 106 yards and Brewer’s Jahrad Taylor had six for 109. Brewer running back Christian Calton rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, while Bear quarterback Carson Ingram rushed for two touchdowns.
Key stats: Eaton trailed by a touchdown enter the fourth but outscored the Bears 14-0. The Eagles had just two drives in the final frame.
Records: Eaton 5-5, 4-3 in 6-5A; Brewer 6-4, 4-3.
