Offers stacking up for Justin Northwest senior Gavin Holmes

College football teams have been quickly lining up for Justin Northwest senior wideout Gavin Holmes ever since he de-committed from Iowa on Nov. 22.

Holmes finished 2016 with 83 catches, 1,545 yards and 16 TDs as the Texans went 10-2 and won their first playoff game in program history.

The three-star recruit is up to 28 offers. In a matter of a week since his de-committment, Holmes received at least six offers from Houston, California, Virginia, Nebraska, Washington State and Arizona State, where he will make an official visit on Jan. 13.

He also took an official visit to Oklahoma on Dec. 2, offered from Indiana on Dec. 5 and went on an official visit to Nebraska on Dec. 9.

Oklahoma coach Cale Gundy stopped by on Nov. 27 while Houston coach Darrell Wyatt came two days later.

Arizona State coach Chip Lindsey and Utah coach Guy Holliday visited Holmes on Dec. 8.
