Saginaw Boswell quarterback Brayden Thomas threw six touchdowns as the Pioneers defeated up-tempo Denison 56-29 at Apogee Stadium on Friday in a Class 5A Division II bi-district game. Thomas finished with 374 yards, connecting with four different receivers for scores. Denison turned the ball over on downs seven times, including five in the opponent’s half of the field. Next up for Boswell is Fort Worth Dunbar (5-6).
Key Players: Boswell running back Damon Williams ran for 260 yards and two scores on 33 carries. The Pioneers had three receivers with more than 50 yards. Isaiah Mayfield led the pack with nine catches, 144 yards and a score.
