Springtown made easy work of Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis, building a 41-0 lead through the first quarter and coasting to a 65-0 win Saturday in a District 5-4A Division I game at Farrington Field. The Porcupines, who had already clinched a playoff berth, took advantage of eight turnovers.
Key players: Porcupines QB Kaleb Chesney threw for 219 yards on 9-of-13 passing, including four touchdowns. WR Eric Antonucci had 68 yards receiving and scored the game’s opening TD 1:21 into the contest. WR Lane Hill had two catches, both for scores. Christian Rodriguez split time between running back and quarterback for DHJ, finishing with 37 yards on the ground.
Key stat: The Eagles lost six fumbles, all inside their own 30-yard line.
