Arlington Heights tunes up for playoffs with rout of YMLA

Senior running back Da’Jour Traylor scored three first-quarter touchdowns Thursday as Fort Worth Arlington Heights prepped for the postseason with a 69-0 District 7-5A rout of Fort Worth YMLA at Scarborough-Handley Field.

Key players: Taylor carried eight times for 112 yards and had TD runs of 14, 9 and 44 yards. Yellow Jackets quarterback Jaiden Zackery ran for one score and threw for another. Heights got a special teams score on a 51-yard punt return by Jaden Wynn, and a defensive score when Darius Williams returned a fumble 24 yards for a touchdown. YMLA running back J’eon Burnett carried 20 times for 60 yards.

Key stat: Heights opens the playoffs Nov. 11 against the winner of Friday’s Richland-Colleyville Heritage game.
