Mansfield receiver earns All-America honor

The Under Armour/ESPN All American tour made its way to Mansfield on Thursday, presenting the game jersey to Mansfield senior receiver and cornerback Saiid Adebo.

Adebo joins Fort Worth South Hills’ Tylan Wallace as the second player from area teams to be honored this week. Wallace was presented with his jersey on Monday.

Adebo, a four-star recruit via 247Sports, is committed to Notre Dame. He has 189 yards receiving and two touchdowns, and 85 yards rushing and one touchdown this season. The Tigers have won the District 4-6A title and is a No. 1 seed in the 6A Division II playoff bracket.

Adebo and Wallace join other players from the Metroplex on the All-American roster: Jack Anderson (Frisco), Anthony Hines (Plano East), Chevin Calloway (Bishop Dunne), Jalen Reagor (Waxahachie), Tyrese Robinson (McKinney Boyd), Edward Ingram (DeSoto) and Avery Davis (Cedar Hill).

The 10th annual Under Armour All-American Football Game, featuring the nation’s best senior high school football players, will be played in Orlando, Fla., on Jan. 1 and broadcast live on ESPN.
