FWISD players take Week 10 dfwVarsity Player of the Week honors
Junior quarterback Bryan Cottingim of Fort Worth Young Men’s Leadership Academy is the dfwVarsity football offensive Player of the Week for Week 10, and Fort Worth Arlington Heights defensive back James Thompson is the defensive Player of the Week.
Cottingim accounted for all five of the Wildcats’ touchdowns in the team’s first-ever varsity victory last week. He rushed for 199 yards and a score while throwing for four touchdowns on 145 yards passing as YMLA downed Fort Worth North Side 34-0.
Thompson recorded four interceptions against Fort Worth Western Hills, returning one 61 yards for a score.
A total of 22,824 votes were cast.
