Flower Mound routs L.D. Bell behind late first-half flurry
Jackson Everitt threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns as Flower Mound defeated Hurst L.D. Bell 40-7 Friday in a District 5-6A game at Neal Wilson Stadium in Flower Mound. Flower Mound scored twice in the last 1:45 of the first half, both on Everitt passes to Zack Welch. The latter, a 25-yarder, came with :03 left in the half, increasing the Jaguars lead to 30-7.
Key players: Bell quarterback Austin Brougham was 10-16 for 124 yards and a touchdown, a 79-yard pass to Ricky Walton. Flower Mound’s Ifeanyichukwu Uzowihe rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown.
Key stat: Flower Mound held Bell to 14 yards rushing.
