Late TD passes lift Keller Fossil Ridge over Haltom

Keller Fossil Ridge WR Elijah Hicks hauled in two touchdown passes in a nine second span in the fourth quarter to help break the game open and carry the Panthers to a 49-20 win over Haltom at Birdville Stadium.

Key players: Fossil Ridge senior quarterback Max Akin threw for 146 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 115 yards and a touchdown. Haltom’s Braiden Harris threw a 31-yard touchdown pass on a fake field goal to give Haltom its first touchdown of the game. He also caught two passes for five yards.

Key stat: Keller Fossil Ridge’s defense held Haltom to just six first downs and less than one yard per rushing attempt.
