Richland blanks Fort Worth Polytechnic, remains perfect
Richland senior quarterback Trae Self threw four first-half touchdown passes, two to Landon Le for 17 and 20-yards and two to Kenneth Reeves for 2 and 26 yards, as the Rebels defeated Fort Worth Polytechnic 78-0 in a District 8-5A game Thursday at Scarborough-Handley Field.
Key Players: Self threw for 183 yards by intermission, and running back Rylee Johnson ran for 50 yards and one score. Zack Ramos added a 17-yard fumble return for a touchdown, and backup quarterback Drew Trent threw a 31 yard TD pass to Nick Denson.
Key Stat: Richland also had five different rushers score touchdowns. Richland meets co-8-5A frontrunner Grapevine Oct. 14.
Records: Richland 6-0, 3-0 8-5A; Fort Worth Polytechnic 1-5, 0-3.
