Fort Worth South Hills shuts down FW North Side
Fort Worth South Hills used a potent offense and a physical defense to overwhelm Fort Worth North Side 56-0 Friday in a District 7-5A game at Farrington Field. South Hills scored on all six first-half possession and added a defensive score.
Key players: South Hills QB Trey Jones scored from 25-yards out and threw two TD passes in the first half to lead the Scorpions to a 49-0 halftime lead. Tylan Wallace scored twice – on a 19-yard run and a 27-yard pass – in the first half to help pace the Scorpions. South Hills safety James Blue returned an interception 35 yards for a score.
Key stat: Tylan Wallace finished the night with five catches for 111 yards, Calvin Clater took a Trey Jones pass and scored from 74 yards out, and Kyran Jackson rushed with 155 yards and three scores in the win.
