Running game helps Crowley overcome Burleson Centennial

Crowley’s Jamerian Biscoe ran for three scores and teammate Roderick Williams added a score and 170 yards rushing as the Eagles defeated Burleson Centennial 39-21 in both teams’ District 9-5A opener.

Key players: Biscoe carried 13 times for 63 yards and Williams carried 14 times. Crowley’s Mook Hailey rushed for 74 yards on 13 carries. The Spartans’ Xander Richards caught four passes for 103 yards and threw an 82-yard touchdown pass to Blake Birdwell.

Key stat: Crowley’s defense registered four interceptions, including three in the end zone.
