Arlington Bowie rallies to overcome North Mesquite

Two late interceptions by seniors Coi Miller and D’Mond Sellers sealed a wild comeback win for Arlington Bowie over North Mesquite 35-30 on Friday at Wilemon Field. Senior quarterback Donoven Davenport scored from the 3 with 3:05 left to give the Volunteers their first lead of the game.

Key players: Volunteers RB Branden Ellis and Davenport rushed for 138 and 104 yards, respectively, with both adding two touchdowns. Wide Receivers Ty DeArmen and Braydon Johnson combined for 118 yards receiving.

Key stat: Bowie put up 28 points in the second half, holding North Mesquite to just six in the comeback.

Records: Arlington Bowie 3-0, No. Mesquite 1-2.
