Dallas Highland Park takes advantage of Mansfield Timberview errors
Despite a solid defensive showing, Mansfield Timberview was hobbled by three turnovers and 10 penalties as the Wolves fell to Dallas Highland Park 31-0 Friday in a nondistrict game
Key players: Timberview running back Courtlynn Thomas finished with 10 carries for 42 yards. Receiver Kameron Marshall caught two passes for 43 yards. Highland Park quarterback John Stephen Jones went 18 of 27 and finished with 225 yards through the air.
Key stat: Highland Park was able to keep Timberview scoreless on consecutive first half drives that totaled seven and seventeen plays respectively.
Record: Mansfield Timberview 1-2; Highland Park 2-1.
