Late FG carries Weatherford past Burleson

Alex Rodriguez converted on a 35-yard field goal with 24 seconds left Friday to push Weatherford past Burleson 34-31 in a nondistrict game at Kangaroo Stadium in Weatherford.

Key players: Weatherford’s Corban Campbell was 19-of-27 passing for 213 yards and three touchdowns. Devin Stevenson led Burleson with 116 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. His touchdown with 3:51 left tied the game, 31-31.
