Fort Worth South Hills quarterback Tracin Wallace was off to a good start this season in his return from ACL knee surgery that forced him to miss all of 2015.

But the senior left the Scorpions’ 49-17 win on Sept. 2 against Saginaw with an apparent injury. He sat out Thursday’s 41-12 win over Dallas Adams.

On Friday, the three-star Oklahoma State commit announced on Twitter that he tore the left ACL again.

Before leaving against Saginaw, Wallace threw for 128 yards on 10-of-18 passing and one touchdown, and rushed 12 times for 154 yards and two TDs. In the Aug. 26 41-0 season-opening win against Dallas Seagoville, Wallace accounted for 260 yards and four TDs, three through the air.

Wallace first tore the ACL in a scrimmage against Seagoville last season.

In 2014, Wallace completed 68 percent of his passes for 2,123 yards and 30 touchdowns to just three interceptions. He added 1,393 yards on the ground and another 22 touchdowns on his way to being named District 7-5A Offensive MVP.

He led South Hills to its best season in program history with a 9-2 record.

The Scorpions should be in good hands again with a replacement with junior Trey Jones, who exceeded expectations last year, winning Newcomer of the Year and breaking the passing record with 2,497 yards.

Jones threw for 144 yards and a 6-yard touchdown to fellow Oklahoma State commit Tylan Wallace on Thursday against Adams.
