Southwest Christian boys fall in TAPPS 4A title game

Why Westbury Christian won: The Wildcats, No. 7 in the TABC Class 4A state poll, went on a 20-5 run in the first half and another 15-4 run to start the third quarter and give themselves a comfortable cushion the rest of the way in the TAPPS Class 4A championship game.

Key players: Marlin Davis had 23 points and six assists for Westbury. Christian Barrett had 16 points and 18 rebounds for the Wildcats. Tylin Lockett had 37 points for Southwest Christian and Colten Wright chipped in 20 points.

Key stat: Westbury Christian outrebounded Southwest Christian 36-16. Lockett, Wright and Clayton Stanley made the all-tournament team for Southwest Christian.
