Freshmen lead Denton Guyer past Keller 76-62

Why Denton Guyer won: Keller cut Guyer’s lead to 45-43 with 1:33 left in the third quarter, but the Wildcats scored nine of the quarter’s final 13 points and went on to clinch at least a share of the 5-6A title.

Key players: Guyer freshmen Jalen Wilson and Devion Harmon combined for 46 points, 19 rebounds, seven assists and three steals. Keller guard RJ Nembhard had a game-high-tying 27 points.

Key stat: Guyer was 20 of 22 from the free-throw line, while Keller was 9 of 18.

Records: Denton Guyer 28-2, 12-1 in 5-6A; Keller 17-11, 11-2
