Southlake Carroll stops Coppell, Aledo romps, Nelson stumbles

Southlake Carroll 38, Coppell 37 (2OT): Safety Robert Barnes stopped Brady McBride’s 2-point conversion attempt in the second overtime to give Southlake Carroll a District 7-6A victory. The Dragons took a 38-31 lead to start the second overtime after Lil’Jordan Humphrey’s 11-yard touchdown run.

Aledo 49, Burleson Centennial 21: The Bearcats got a big night from quarterback Dillon Davis as the junior threw for three scores and ran for another. Davis completed 11 of 16 passes for 198 yards and carried three times for 37 yards.
