Arlington ISD athletic director lands job at Arlington-area college
Arlington ISD athletic director Eric White has landed a job at Arlington Baptist University, the college announced Tuesday.
White will serve as ABU’s vice president of intercollegiate athletics. He recently retired from high school sports administration after over 30 years of work in public education.
White has served as Arlington ISD athletic director since 2016. He was previously an assistant athletic director at Mansfield ISD, starting in 2006. From 1996 to 2005, he served as an athletic trainer at Fort Worth Polytechnic, Joshua and Mansfield.
White, a Baylor graduate, has overseen multiple stadium projects within Arlington ISD, including the renovation of Wilemon and Cravens Fields as well as the opening of Glaspie FIeld.
David Cook, a Texas House of Representatives member from the 96th district, presented White with a state resolution in May, honoring his retirement and a long career in Arlington ISD and Mansfield ISD athletic administration.
“His leadership, dedication, and commitment to excellence have impacted generations of students, coaches, and families,” Cook wrote.
Ricklan Holmes and Kim Peach serve as Arlington ISD’s assistant athletic directors.
