Decatur ISD announced Boswell assistant coach Brad Ingram as the next head coach of Decatur girls basketball Thursday.

After consecutive Class 4A Division I state titles, Decatur will aim for three consecutive championships next season. Ingram will bring experience, having coached for 36 years, including 18 as a head coach.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Brad Ingram to lead our Lady Eagles basketball program,” Athletic Director Cliff Watkins said in a press release. “He brings an exceptional wealth of expertise and a proven championship pedigree, most recently helping guide Boswell to a state title. His dedication to education perfectly aligns with our mission to develop student-athletes who excel both on the court and in the classroom.”

Ingram, under former Boswell head coach John Reese, helped lead the Pioneers to the 2025 Class 6A Division II state championship.

“I am truly honored and excited to be joining the Decatur family,” Ingram said in a press release. “What a privilege it is to be a part of one of the premier athletic programs in the state of Texas.”
