Arlington Martin four-star class of 2027 running back Javian Jones-Priest announced his commitment to Virginia Tech on Tuesday.

TCU, Oregon, Oklahoma State, Florida, Northwestern and SMU were finalists, according to Jones-Priest. He has over 30 offers and is ranked as the No. 50 player in Texas in the 247Sports composite rankings.

The 5-foot-10, 194-pound also runs track and has built some serious speed with a 10.41 time in the 100 meters and a 21.25 time in the 200 meters.

He was a force for Martin as a junior, rushing for 1,154 yards and 12 TDs on 144 carries. His father, Rafael Priest, was a standout cornerback for TCU from 2005 to 2009, earning third-team All-American and multiple All-Mountain West honors.

In 2026, Jones-Priest will aim to get Martin back on track after the Warriors missed the playoffs in consecutive seasons. From 2019 to 2023, Martin reigned as a district champion and held an 18-season playoff streak.
