The UIL high school tennis state tournament wrapped up Friday at multiple locations in San Antonio.

In Class 5A, one Fort Worth-area team won a state championship in mixed doubles: Grapevine junior Sara Gyorgy and senior Noah Malin. Their 6-4, 6-3 victory over Midlothian’s Caleb and Hannah Hobbs gave Grapevine the area’s only state title win and state final appearance this season.

With the win, Gyorgy won her third state championship. The previous two came in girls doubles with her sister, Emilia Gyorgy, who is now at Midwestern State.

Sara Gyorgy has put together the most impressive resume in the Fort Worth area and can return for a senior season to chase her fourth state title.

In Class 6A, the sole competitor from the Fort Worth area to make it to the semifinals was Southlake Carroll’s Rushil Rajpal, who fell to Aidan Xu of Katy Seven Lakes, 6-4, 6-2.
