Introducing the 2026 Fort Worth All-Area Girls Soccer Super Team

Introducing the 2026 Fort Worth All-Area Girls Soccer Team:

Player of the Year: Peyton Hayes, senior forward, Southlake Carroll

Hayes put together the most prolific individual seasons in the area, earning District 4-6A MVP honors after tallying an impressive 40 goals and 23 assists for Southlake Carroll. The senior forward was the engine of one of the region’s most explosive offenses, as the Dragons poured in 131 goals on their way to a 26-1-1 record and a perfect 16-0 District 4-6A title run. Hayes will continue her career at SMU.

Defender of the Year: Ava Sexton, senior, Southlake Carroll

Sexton was the anchor of a historic Carroll defense, earning District 4-6A Defensive Player of the Year honors. The centerback helped lead a unit that surrendered only one goal in district play and set a new school record by allowing just six goals across 28 games. A versatile and dominant presence on the backline, Sexton was one of the best all-around players of the year and will take her talents to Texas A&M.

Goalkeeper of the Year: Brooke Bereuter, senior, Grapevine

Bereuter was a cornerstone in goal for Grapevine, helping lead the Mustangs to a state championship appearance. The standout keeper recorded 14 shutouts on the season as Grapevine held opponents to just 23 goals. Bereuter was especially dominant in the postseason, posting five 1-0 clean sheets on the Mustangs’ run to the state stage.

Offensive Player of the Year: Andie Hafner, senior forward, Burleson Centennial

Hafner was a standout force up top for Centennial, earning First Team All-Region and First Team All-District honors. The senior forward led the team in scoring with 13 goals and six assists, including a clutch overtime goal against Colleyville Heritage. Hafner will continue her playing career at Hardin-Simmons University. She led Centennial to a state semifinal appearance and the most successful soccer season in Burleson ISD’s history.

Newcomer of the Year: Zoe Clark, freshman GK, Fort Worth Benbrook

Clark was a first-year force for Benbrook, earning TASCO First Team All-Region honors. She helped lead the Bobcats to a 21-4-1 overall and 14-0 district record. The team allowed 21 goals on the season, and Clark tallied 13 shutouts with 56 saves.

Coach of the Year: Burleson Centennial’s Heather McMahan

The Centennial Spartans made the furthest run for any soccer team in Burleson ISD’s history, appearing in the Class 5A Division I state semifinals. They fell 2-0 to Prosper Walnut Grove.

Before its playoff run, Centennial (19-2-4, 11-0-3 District 8-5A) won a district title without losing a game. During the season, the Spartans thrived on strong team defense, allowing 18 goals.

All Area First Team

Goalkeepers

Maliegh Deview, Junior, Birdville

Deview anchored a Birdville backline that surrendered just 12 goals across 22 games, earning a Second Team All State selection.

Riley Bell, Senior, Crowley

Bell earned District 3-6A Goalkeeper of the Year and TASCO First Team All Region honors, recording 207 saves and five shutouts on the season, including 125 saves and one shutout in district play alone.

Forwards

Lily Chavez, Junior, Benbrook

Chavez scored 32 goals on the season, earning Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Ella Gutierrez, Senior, Keller

Gutierrez was a big part of a Keller offense that powered the Indians to the Class 6A Division I state championship game, earning a spot on the Second Team All State squad.

Hope Harvill, Senior, Grapevine

Harvill was a key contributor to a Grapevine squad that reached the Class 5A Division II state championship game and earned Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Midfielders

Audrey Anderson, Junior, Southlake Carroll

Anderson earned District 4-6A Midfielder of the Year honors after finishing the season with 9 goals and 19 assists.

Claire Garritson, Senior, Keller

Garritson totaled 17 goals and 18 assists for a Keller squad that finished 22-5-1 and reached the 6A Division I state championship game, including the game-winning goal in the Region one final over Coppell. She earned District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year and TASCO Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Sydney Chavez, Senior, Benbrook

Chavez scored 51 goals on the season, earning First Team All Region honors.

Defense

Mardie Frye, Senior, Centennial

Frye, a four-year starter and team captain committed to Texas Woman’s University, recorded 7 goals, 6 assists and 16 shutouts, earning a Honorable Mention All-State selection.

Raegan Brown, Junior, Birdville

Brown was a key piece of a Birdville defense that allowed just 12 goals across 22 games, earning Second Team All State.

Riley Hewitt, Senior, Keller

Hewitt contributed 4 goals and 3 assists for a Keller squad that finished 22-5-1 and reached the 6A Division I state championship game, earning District 4-6A MVP and TASCO Second Team All State honors. She also made the Class 6A Division I All Tournament Team.

Utility

Leah Kate Criswell, Sophomore, Birdville

Criswell earned a First Team All State selection as part of a Birdville squad that claimed the District 6-5A title.

Emersen Andries, Junior, Colleyville Heritage

Andries, a two-year captain, three-year varsity letterman and Texas Tech commit, recorded 3 goals and 2 assists while earning District 6-5A Midfielder of the Year and TASCO Second Team All State honors.

Polina Pavlenko, Junior, Haltom

Pavlenko recorded 31 goals and 14 assists, earning District 8-6A MVP honors and helping lead Haltom to its first playoff appearance in 34 years.

All Area Second Team

Goalkeepers

Zoey Dunagan, Junior, Granbury

Dunagan helped Granbury hold opponents to 24 goals over 24 games, earning First Team All Region honors.

Kylee Williams, Senior, Arlington Heights

Williams earned Co-District Goalkeeper of the Year honors, posting 10 shutouts in district and 14 overall on the season.

Forwards

Carmi Carney, Junior, Birdville

Carney was a key forward for a Birdville squad that won the district title. The team scored 69 goals across 22 games, and Carney earned First Team All State honors.

Addyson McElhaney, Senior, Weatherford

McElhaney recorded 20 goals and 13 assists, earning District 3-6A Offensive Player of the Year for the second time and TASCO Second Team All Region honors.

Emma Jenkins, Senior, Keller Fossil Ridge

Jenkins captained Fossil Ridge to its first playoff appearance in 14 years, finishing the season with 15 goals.

Midfielders

Brady Burtnett, Senior, Southlake Carroll

Burtnett, a member of the U17 Canadian National Team who is graduating early to enroll at the University of South Carolina, earned Honorable-Mention All-State honors.

Claire Gambrell, Senior, Burleson Centennial

Gambrell, a team captain, recorded 5 goals, 5 assists and 16 shutouts while earning District MVP and First Team All Region honors.

Addison Atkins, Junior, Colleyville Heritage

Atkins, a three-year varsity letterman and Lubbock Christian commit, finished with 4 goals and 11 assists, earning a TASCO First Team All Region selection.

Defense

Claire Jenkins, Junior, Grapevine

Jenkins helped lead Grapevine to the Class 5A Division II state championship game, earning First Team All Region honors.

Brielle McDaniel, Junior, Colleyville Heritage

McDaniel, a two-year captain and three-year varsity letterman, finished with 5 goals and 4 assists while earning 6-5A Co-Utility Player of the Year and TASCO First Team All Region honors.

Makena Kerr, Junior, Grapevine

Kerr was a key contributor to the Mustangs’ run to the Class 5A Division II state championship game, earning a First Team All Region selection.

Utility

Logan Tate, Junior, Burleson

Tate recorded 30 goals and 12 assists, earning District 8-5A Offensive Player of the Year honors while breaking the school’s single-season and career goals records with one season still remaining.

Yaretzi Salas, Sophomore, Lake Worth

Salas recorded 26 goals and 8 assists, earning District Offensive Player of the Year and all-region honors while helping the program to its first playoff victory in school history. She holds school records for goals in a career, a season and a single game.

Isabella Marquez, Junior, Burleson Centennial

Marquez recorded 9 goals and 10 assists, earning 1st team all-district and UIL State All-Tournament Team honors. She scored a hat trick against Birdville in overtime and added the assist in each of the team’s next two playoff wins.

Karina Chavez, Senior, Fort Worth All Saints

Chavez totaled 22 goals and 12 assists on the season, earning TAPPS Division II District 1 Player of the Year and First Team TAPPS Division II All-State honors.
