Fort Worth-area coach, former state champion will not return for 2026 season
Lake Worth head football coach and athletic director Todd Peterman will not return to the school for the 2026 football season, according to Matt Stepp of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
Lake Worth ISD posted Peterman’s job on School Spring, a job board. The Star-Telegram reached out to Lake Worth ISD and has yet to receive a response.
Peterson led the Bullfrogs to a 4-17 record in two seasons at the helm.
Peterman led DeSoto to its first state championship in 2016 and spent nine seasons as a coach with the Eagles. He posted 32-8 overall record with DeSoto before resigning in 2018. He then spent four seasons as the head coach of White Settlement Brewer, leading the Bears to two playoff appearances.
Before taking over at Lake Worth, he served as an offensive coordinator at Duncanville High School, helping lead the Panthers to two state titles.
