Introducing the 2026 Fort Worth All-Area Boys Soccer Super Team

Introducing the 2026 Fort Worth All-Area Boys Soccer Team:

Player of the Year: Trapper Davis, senior forward, Aledo

Davis capped off a standout high school career, earning TASCO First Team All-State and District 5-5A Co-MVP honors in his senior season with Aledo. The forward was a nightmare for opposing defenses, finishing the year with 30 goals and nine assists, including five crucial playoff goals. Davis closed out his prep career with an impressive 60 goals and 23 assists, cementing himself as one of the most productive players in program history. He led the Bearcats to a 21-4-2 overall record.

Defender of the Year: Noah Abiodun, senior, Southlake Carroll

Abiodun was the heartbeat of a stout Carroll defense, earning First Team All-State, First Team All-District, and a coveted TASCO All-Star Game selection in his senior campaign. The captain anchored a backline that recorded 10 shutouts on the season, bringing a commanding presence that set the tone for the Dragons throughout the year. The team allowed 24 goals on the season.

Goalkeeper of the Year: Drew Vozeh, senior, Aledo

Vozeh was a wall between the posts for Aledo, earning TASCO First Team All-State goalkeeper honors after one of the most dominant seasons in the area. The senior started all 22 games, going 20-1-1 while posting 12.5 shutouts and 67 saves. Vozeh conceded just eight goals on the year for a stingy 0.44 goals-against average, adding District 5-5A First Team All-District recognition to his resume.

Offensive Player of the Year: John Skiermont, junior, Southlake Carroll

Skiermont was the driving force behind Carroll’s attack, taking home District 4-6A MVP and All-State Honorable Mention honors to go along with a First Team All-District nod. The midfielder was as creative as anyone in the area, leading all of DFW with 21 assists while also contributing 14 goals, including three in the playoffs. Skiermont’s vision and playmaking ability made him one of the most dangerous players in the region this season.

Newcomer of the Year: Jorge Hernandez, freshman midfield/forward, Castleberry

Hernandez made an immediate impact, earning District 8-4A Co-Newcomer of the Year honors. The versatile midfielder-turned-forward finished the year with six goals and two assists, with five of those goals coming in district play and one more in the playoffs. Hernandez spent most of the season in midfield before transitioning forward in the back half of district, and the move proved to be effective.

Coach of the Year: Fort Worth Wyatt’s Raphael Avalos

Avalos led the Wyatt Chaparrals (17-8-1, 8-4 District 7-5A) to the Class 5A Division II regional finals after a fourth-place finish in district.

District 7-5A made a case to be among the best in Dallas-Fort Worth; Fort Worth Trimble Tech also made a deep run, reaching the regional semifinals, and Fort Worth Paschal made it to the area round.

Wyatt’s playoff run was extraordinarily chaotic. The Chaparrals took out Mansfield Summit 7-3 in the bi-district round, scoring four goals in overtime. They defeated Grapevine 2-1 in overtime and followed it up by taking down El Paso Hanks in a shootout.

Wyatt fell 1-0 in overtime to El Paso Burges in the regional final, ending a stunning playoff run.

First Team All Area

Goalkeepers

Caleb Gonzalez, Senior, Keller

Gonzalez anchored a Keller backline that allowed 26 goals on the season for a squad that finished 17-4-6 and won three playoff games, earning First Team All State honors.

Alexander Chairez, Junior, Arlington Sam Houston

Chairez conceded just seven goals in district — three via penalty kick — and added four assists, earning District 8-6A Goalkeeper of the Year and TASCO Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Forward

Joseph Aziz, Senior, Keller

Aziz scored 19 goals on the season, earning First Team All State honors.

Tyler Thompson, Junior, Grapevine

Thompson led the Mustangs with 16 goals, earning Second Team All State honors.

Pedro Medellin, Junior, Arlington Sam Houston

Medellin scored 29 goals and added 10 assists, earning District 8-6A MVP and TASCO First Team All Region honors.

Midfielders

Jad Shehadeh, Junior, Southlake Carroll

Shehadeh scored 24 goals, including three in the playoffs, and added five assists, earning District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year, First team All District and First Team All Region Honors.

Robby Sloan, Senior, Aledo

Sloan finished with 5 goals and 22 assists — including three in the playoffs — closing out his career with 14 goals and 37 assists. He earned District 5-5A Co-MVP and TASCO First Team All State honors.

Israel Range, Junior, Grapevine

Range led the Mustangs with 12 assists, earning a Second Team All State selection.

Defense

Nathan Auten, Senior, Keller

Auten was a key part of a Keller defense that allowed 26 goals on the season, earning Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Hunter Waugh, Senior, Aledo

Waugh, a four-year starter at center back, conceded just one goal across 27 games as a senior, helping Aledo hold opponents to a .9 goals-against average. He earned District 5-5A Defensive Player of the Year and TASCO First Team All State honors.

Spencer Smith, Senior, Grapevine

Smith was a key component of a Mustang defense that allowed 27 goals on the season, earning Second Team All State honors.

Utility

Joshua Wedemeyer, Senior Utility, Fort Worth Paschal

Wedemeyer recorded 9 goals, 6 assists and five penalty kick conversions as a team captain, helping the Panthers secure a playoff berth while earning First Team All District honors.

Seth Lowe, Junior GK, Northwest

Lowe, was a standout on a Northwest squad that earned a bi-district playoff appearance and earned Second Team All State honors.

Emiliano Larios, Senior GK, Fort Worth Paschal

Larios recorded 68 saves and three shutouts, including one against Burleson Centennial in the bi-district playoffs, earning District 7-5A Co-MVP and Second Team All Region honors.

Second Team All Area

Goalkeepers

Caleb Castaneda, Senior, Castleberry

Castaneda saved 24 of 27 shots in district and 18 of 20 in the playoffs, earning District 8-4A Co-Goalkeeper of the Year and TASCO Second Team All State honors. He stopped Keller in PKs twice on the season.

Colt Tinkis, Senior, Grapevine

Tinkis earned 2nd team all-state honors for the Mustangs. Grapevine won the District 6-5A title and made an appearance in the area round.

Forwards

Edson Morin, Junior, Arlington Sam Houston

Morin recorded 15 goals and 14 assists, earning District 8-6A Offensive MVP and TASCO Second Team All Region honors.

Desire Kyanga, Senior, FW Wyatt

Kyanga led the way for a Wyatt squad that made it to the regional finals with a team high 25 goals.

Ezra Torres, Sophomore, Richland

Torres finished with 13 goals and 11 assists, earning District 6-5A Newcomer of the Year and First Team All District honors.

Midfield

Enzo Fartura, Senior, Keller

Fartura was a key part of a Keller squad that went 10-1-5 in District 4-6A, earning Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Matthew Harkrider, Junior, Burleson Centennial

Harkrider helped the Spartans claim a district title with a 12-0-2 district record and 16-5-3 overall mark, earning First Team All Region honors.

Cole Swett, Senior, Southlake Carroll

Swett recorded 8 goals and 4 assists, earning District 4-6A Utility Player of the Year, First Team All District and Second Team All Region honors.

Defense

Jaycen Laing, Junior, Eagle Mountain

Laing earned Honorable Mention All-State honors in Class 4A for the Knights.

Ryder Balch, Senior, Byron Nelson

Balch earned First Team All Region honors in Class 6A for the Bobcats. The squad made an area round appearance.

Chris Olvera, Sophomore, Arlington Sam Houston

Olvera scored four goals from the right back position while anchoring a backline that conceded just seven goals in district, earning District 8-6A First Team All District honors.

Utility

Ivan Cardona, Senior Utility, Burleson

Cardona recorded 12 goals and 8 assists, earning District 8-5A Utility Player of the Year honors.

Ronaldo Reyes, Sophomore Forward, Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis

Reyes was a standout on a DHJ squad that claimed a district title with an 11-3 run, earning a First Team All Region selection.

Aaron Calvillo, Senior Midfield, Mansfield Lake Ridge

Calvillo was a key part of a Lake Ridge squad that claimed the District 3-6A title with an 11-1 run, earning First Team All Region honors.
