Southlake Carroll had a lot riding on the outcome of Keller Timber Creek and Northwest’s game Friday.

If the Texans won, the Dragons would earn the final playoff spot in District 4-6A. If Timber Creek was victorious, Carroll would have to face them for the spot.

But fortunately for Carroll, that won’t be necessary, as Northwest seized a 5-4 victory. Jackson Merritt led the way offensively for the Texans with three hits and an RBI.

WIth Northwest’s win, Carroll extends a playoff streak started in 1999.
