Three-star QB transfers to Aledo ahead of Bearcats’ first season in Class 6A
Lewisville three-star Tre Williams transferred to Aledo ahead of the Bearcats’ first season in Class 6A.
Williams, a class of 2027 standout, changed his location on X to Aledo and his huddle page lists Aledo as his team. The Dallas Morning News reported Williams confirmed the transfer via direct message.
Williams, with a 5-foot-10 frame, has offers from Arizona State, Texas State, UNLV and more. As a junior with Lewisville, he threw for 2,504 yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing .652% of his passes.
He is a traditional pocket passer, and doesn’t gain yards on his legs often, which is a complete flip from Aledo’s 2025 QB Lincoln Tubbs, who made a big difference on his legs. He passed for 2,062 yards and 24 TDs while adding 937 yards and 11 TDs on his legs after winning sole possession of the starting job midway through the season.
The Bearcats made it to the state semifinals, where they fell to Frisco Lone Star in dramatic fashion. Aledo lost a 41-21 second half lead. Lone Star scored 14 points in the final two minutes to stun the Bearcats.
The 2025 season was the first time Aledo has gone consecutive seasons without a title since 2008.
Williams led Lewisville to an 8-3 record and a bi-district round appearance. Now, he’ll look to compete with a 12 time UIL state champion Aledo squad as it takes on Class 6A; the Bearcats scheduled a daunting non-district slate, with 2024 Class 6A Division I state champion North Crowley as an opponent on Friday, August 28.
The Bearcats will carry a 135-game district win streak into a District 3-6A slate that includes Arlington, Arlington Bowie, Arlington Houston, Arlington Lamar, Arlington Martin, Granbury and Weatherford.
Class of 2028 QB Elijah Pinnick, who played with Crowley last season, is also with Aledo. Another player that transferred in is three-star class of 2027 wide receiver Kingston “K1” Parks, who played at Oakridge last season.
