With the win, Eaton (23-9-1 overall, 11-5 district) avoids a play-in game with Southlake Carroll (21-12, 10-6) for the final playoff berth out of 4-6A. The Eagles will be the second-seed in the 6A Division I playoffs while Carroll will miss post-season play.

Boswell takes share of district crown with win over Lake Ridge

Fort Worth Boswell broke open a close game with 5 runs in the bottom of the sixth as the Pioneers pulled away from Mansfield Lake Ridge 9-3 in a District 3-6A showdown on Friday at Boswell High School.

With the win, Boswell (21-4-1 overall, 10-2 district) claimed a share of the 3-6A title with idle Mansfield Legacy (19-11, 10-2). Lake Ridge (17-14-1, 9-3) had already clinched a playoff berth as well and will represent 3-6A as the second-seed in Division I.
