North Crowley’s Jonathan Fox gave the fans something to remember Tuesday in a 71-40 Class 6A Division I regional semifinal victory over Coppell.

He cut toward the basket from the corner, and teammate Isaak Hayes threw him a lob. Fox leaped for the ball, spun nearly 360 degrees and finished the play with a slam over a contesting defender.

The slam sent Panther fans into a frenzy.

“That was crazy,” said Hayes of the Fox acrobatic dunk. “I had seen Fox cut and I threw it, but I thought he was gonna dunk it regularly. He jumped up, and I was like ‘oh my God, that was great’. It really did surprise me.”
