Week 10 of the Texas high school football season is here.

Here are the top Fort Worth-area Friday night football storylines to watch:

Haltom to face undefeated South Grand Prairie

Even with losses to Arlington Lamar and Arlington Bowie, Haltom has given all District 8-6A opponents a tough game.

On Friday, South Grand Prairie (7-0, 5-0) will aim to stay undefeated, while Haltom will look to pull off the upset. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Gopher-Warrior Bowl.

The Buffalos (3-5, 3-2) have one of the best running backs in the Fort Worth area in Vudrico Roberson, who is averaging 161 yards per game. South Grand Prairie has an elite running back of its own in Josiah Lucas, who averages 137.5 yards per game.

If South Grand Prairie and 2024 district champ Bowie are victorious in Week 10, it’ll set up a clash of undefeated squads for the 8-6A championship. South Grand Prairie could finish a regular season undefeated for the first time in school history.

Fort Worth All Saints looks to stay undefeated

Fort Worth All Saints (8-0, 3-0) has proven to be the top team in TAPPS Division I District II.

The Saints, fresh off a 2024 championship run, won their 22nd consecutive game in Week 9. Now, they’ll face a local rival in Fort Worth Christian (7-1, 2-1).

En route to the championship, the Saints beat the Cardinals twice (37-14, 49-20).

As the season unfolds, it’s clear the Saints are a favorite to repeat as champions. Although there is a lot of football yet to be played, Fort Worth-area football fans should take notice — consecutive undefeated seasons would be a monumental accomplishment.

A must-win game for Haslet Eaton

Haslet Eaton (3-5, 2-4) sits in seventh in District 4-6A, but still has a path to the playoffs.

For that to happen, however, a win against Keller Timber Creek (0-7, 0-6) is crucial. Don’t let the record fool you – Timber Creek is a competitive opponent that has faced a rough schedule.

Timber Creek narrowly lost 37-36 to Keller, 28-21 to Central, and 35-28 to L.D. Bell. In reality, the Falcons are a few plays away from being a potential playoff squad.

Although Timer Creek’s postseason chances are gone, it will still look to stay competitive. The Falcons have a tough test ahead against Eaton, a squad that nearly toppled local power Euless Trinity in an overtime thriller.

Eaton will face Timber Creek at 7 p.m. Friday at Keller ISD Stadium.

An opportunity for Fort Worth Carter-Riverside

Fort Worth Carter-Riverside (2-6, 1-3 District 5-4A Division I) hasn’t made the playoffs since 1995.

Right now, the Eagles are on the outside looking in but still have a chance to snap that streak. On Friday, they have a must win game against Diamond Hill-Jarvis (1-7, 0-4) in the battle of Fort Worth Eagles.

Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. Friday at Scarborough-Handley Field. With Southwest, Eastern Hills and Western Hills still needing wins to lock up spots, two victories for Carter-Riverside could go a long way.

A rivalry renewed: Graham and Brock

In Brock’s relatively short time in Class 4A Division II, the Eagles have developed quite the rivalry with the Graham Steers.

In 2024, Brock lost the regular-season contest 38-0 but put together a shocking bounce-back performance in the regional finals, taking down Graham 12-10 in triple overtime.

Now, the two teams are set to meet again at 7 p.m. Friday at Brock.

Brock (8-0, 3-0 District 3-4A Division II) is ranked No. 3 in the state by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, while Graham (6-2, 3-0) is unranked.

Keep an eye on Brock’s trio of productive players: athlete Colt Matlock, running back Bryer McDonald and quarterback Holt Frazier. The Eagles are averaging 57.75 points per game.

The Steers will be an underdog, but if this rivalry stays consistent, anything can happen when these programs meet. Whichever team wins will claim at least a share of the district title.
