UIL State Track: Class 5A, 2A running events postponed due to inclement weather

The UIL announced on Wednesday June 17, 2020 that Friday night high school football games may broadcast live for the 2020 season to help those impacted by COVID-19. University Interscholastic League

AUSTIN

Due to incoming inclement weather at Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium, the University Interscholastic League has postponed the Class 2A and 5A running session at the UIL State Track and Field Meet to Saturday, May 3.

The 5A and 2A running session was initially scheduled to start at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2. The Class 5A and 2A field events will continue as scheduled.

The Class 2A and 5A running events are scheduled for 10:10 a.m. and will continue through 1:55 p.m. on Saturday.

Due to weather, the 2A & 5A running session has been rescheduled for Saturday at 10:10am. Field events will continue today as conditions allow.

Friday tickets, credentials, and parking passes remain valid until 3:30pm Saturday.

The Class 6A and Class 1A running and field events are also scheduled for Saturday and those times will continue as originally planned.

Friday tickets will remain valid until 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
