Individual Awards
On Friday, May 2, the Star-Telegram announced its All-Area Super Team individual award winners.
Player of the Year: Emersen Andries, Sophomore forward, Colleyville Heritage
Defensive Player of the Year: Emery Thompson, Senior left back, Aledo
Offensive Player of the Year: Ashlyn Bringedahl, Sophomore Forward, Colleyville Heritage
Goalkeeper of the Year: Emma Young, Senior, Mansfield Timberview
Newcomer of the Year: Peyton Hayes, Junior midfielder, Southlake Carroll
Coach of the Year: Monte Pace, Colleyville Heritage
First Team All-Area
Forwards
Addison Shimmick, Sophomore, Colleyville Heritage
Shimmick built on an impressive freshman season with Colleyville Heritage, a state finalist. She scored 17 goals and recorded six assists as one of Colleyville Heritage’s elite offensive talents. She earned First Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-State honors.
Katie Bailey, Senior, Burleson Centennial
Bailey, a First Team All-Region selection, was a generational offensive talent for the Spartans, breaking the school record for goals in a season with 29, and she also recorded 15 assists. Bailey was named the District 8-5A MVP after leading her team to a district title and a regional semifinal playoff appearance. Centennial fell to Colleyville Heritage, an eventual state finalist in Class 5A Division I. Bailey, Centennial’s class president, will attend Uconn in hopes of becoming a pediatric surgeon.
Alyson Weimer, Sophomore, Aledo
Weimer, as an underclassman, was a scoring machine for the Bearcats with 19 goals and nine assists. She was named the District 5-5A Offensive Player of the Year after leading Aledo to a 15-5 record and a district title. She earned First Team All-Region honors.
Midfield
Kamdyn Fuller, Senior, Southlake Carroll
Fuller, a TCU commit, played in 12 games for the Carroll Dragons. When she was playing, she showcased why she is one of the best talents in the Fort Worth-area with 26 goals and six assists. Even though she missed some games, Fuller did more than enough to earn the District 4-6A MVP Award. She was also named to the All-Region First Team.
Brielle McDaniel, Sophomore, Colleyville Heritage
McDaniel, a team captain, finished with six goals and eight assists. She helped orchestrate a talented Panther offense that powered the Panthers to the Class 5A Division I state championship. She was named an All-State honorable mention in Class 5A.
Audrey Anderson, Sophomore, Southlake Carroll
Anderson was a phenomenal passer and orchestrator for the Dragons, racking up 26 assists. She was also an elite scoring threat with 14 goals. In Class 6A, she was named an All-State Honorable Mention.
Defense
Parker Wilkerson, Senior, Southlake Carroll
Wilkerson finished with three goals and two assists — her elite abilities can’t be measured by statistics. Wilkerson, a University of Denver commit, was named the District 4-6A Defensive MVP, leading a unit that conceded nine goals in 24 games. The Dragons finished with a stellar 20-2-2 record.
Morgan Cummings, Senior, Godley
Cummings was a force for Godley, earning a Second Team All-State selection in Class 4A. She helped power Godley to the regional finals and also a second place finish in District 6-4A. Godley conceded 24 goals during the season.
Bri Lilly, Senior, Weatherford
Lilly, the District 3-6A Defensive MVP, led a Roo defense that conceded five goals in 20 games — a feat that was largely obtained due to her dominance. According to coach Jeff Hunt, she is one of the best to ever play at Weatherford.
Utility
Autumn Brown, Junior midfielder/forward, Kennedale
Brown, a First Team All-Region selection, is committed to the University of Central Oklahoma. Serving as a three-year captain, Brown helped power Kennedale back to the postseason, finishing with 31 goals and 10 assists en route to District 6-4A Utility MVP honors.
Karina Chavez, Junior forward/midfielder, Fort Worth All-Saints
Chavez was an all-around machine for the Saints with 29 goals and 24 assists. She scored the game winning goal to deliver the TAPPS Division II State Championship to All-Saints, which got her a spot on the All-State Tournament Team. Chavez was named district MVP and also earned a spot on the TAPPS Division II First Team All-State Team.
Goalkeeper
Audrey Obana, Freshman, Aledo
Obana, in her debut season, was a machine for the Bearcats with 13 shutouts and nine goals against. She made 26 saves in a bi-district playoff game against Birdville. On the season, Obana made 73 saves. She earned Second Team All-State honors, a rare accomplishment for a freshman.
Alyssa Yeoman, Senior, Burleson Centennial
Yeoman, a First Team All-State selection in Class 5A, was a key player in a successful season for the Spartans. Centennial was eliminated by Colleyville Heritage, an eventual state finalist, in the area-round after 11 rounds of penalty kicks. Yeoman allowed nine goals on the season.
Second Team All-Area
Forwards
Logan Tate, Sophomore, Burleson
As an underclassman, Tate was a key player for the Elks, scoring 25 goals and recording 12 assists en route to District 8-5A First Team honors. She also broke the Burleson school record for goals in a game with six.
Kinsey Geasland, Junior, Keller Central
Geasland, the District 4-6A Offensive Player of the Year, thrived in one of Texas’ most challenging districts. She scored 21 goals for the Central chargers.
Lily Chavez, Sophomore, Fort Worth Benbrook
Chavez, as an underclassman, was Benbrook’s primary forward in a successful season that saw the Bobcats win an undefeated district championship and two playoff games. Chavez earned First Team All-Region honors.
Midfield
Emma Jenkins, Junior, Keller Fossil Ridge
Jenkins, a team captain, was a player that kept Fossil Ridge competitive. She scored nine goals and led the Panthers in assists en route to District 5-5A Midfielder of the Year honors. Fossil Ridge missed the playoffs by one game — Coach Michael Epley said Jenkins’ contributions were monumental in their season.
Halin Griffith, Senior Arlington Lamar
Griffith, an honorable mention All-Region selection, scored 24 goals for the Vikings. She broke the Lamar record for all time goals in a career (80). She also recorded 10 assists. Griffith, a McMurry commit, was named the District 8-6A MVP and led Lamar to a playoff victory.
Tatum Harig, Sophomore, Grapevine
Harig helped lead Grapevine to a state semifinal after a fourth-place-finish in district. She earned Second Team All-Region honors as an underclassman.
Defense
Landry Warren, Junior, Colleyville Heritage
Warren, a First Team All-District selection and team captain, was Colleyville Heritage’s defensive leader and anchor. She helped contribute to 11 shutouts in 21 games, and the defense she led allowed 22 goals. The Panthers made a run to the Class 5A Division I state championship.
Alexis Castor, Senior, Burleson Centennial
Castor, a key member of the Spartan defense, earned First Team All-District honors, playing in every game. She helped Centennial secure 15 shutouts and nine goals against, the second lowest in program history. Castor served a team captain and will continue her career at ETBU.
Jessica Anzaldua, Junior, Fort Worth Benbrook
Anzaldua, a Class 4A Honorable Mention All-State selection, was a productive defender for Benbrook, a team that won an undefeated district title and allowed 16 goals on the season. The Bobcats made a regional semifinal appearance.
Utility
Jewel Valcik, Senior midfielder, Burleson Centennial
Valcik was a productive player for Centennial with 16 goals and 23 assists. In a year where she led her team in assists, Valcik was named the District 8-5A Offensive MVP. The Spartans made an area round appearance, where they lost to Colleyville Heritage, an eventual state finalist, in a penalty kick shootout. Valcik will continue her career at Tyler Junior College.
Lanie Riddle, Senior defense, Birdville
Riddle was a key member for a Birdville squad that upset Aledo in the bi-district round. As a team, the Hawks conceded 24 goals with Riddle leading the charge. She earned Class 5A First Team All-Region honors.
Goalkeepers
Lennox Kauchak, Senior, Keller
Kauchak led Keller to an undefeated record in District 4-6A (11-0-5), earning First Team All-Region honors in Class 6A. Keller finished with five ties, four of which were 0-0 games, a sign that Kauchak shut down the opposition regardless of situation. Keller allowed 13 goals on the season.
Nancy Taylor, Senior, Weatherford
Taylor, the District 3-6A Goalkeeper of the Year, has started for the Roos for four years and has played in nearly 80 games. In 2025, she posted 17 shutouts and allowed five goals en route to First Team All-Region honors in Class 6A.
