Week eight of the Texas high school football season is here.

A multitude of teams secured big wins in week seven, and there is a fair amount of movement in this week’s rankings. Five teams are rising: Justin Northwest, Crowley, Arlington Bowie, Denton Ryan and Mansfield Summit.

Two of the teams were previously unranked: Bowie and Mansfield Summit. The Volunteers stunned Arlington Martin, handing the Warriors their first district loss in nearly six years. The Jaguars took down Mansfield Timberview, a team that entered week seven with a No. 6 ranking.
