It’s finally time for the Texas high school football season.

Games start on Thursday, and several elite local teams are preparing for potential playoff runs. Which squads have the best chance to play after Thanksgiving week?

Introducing the debut edition of the Star-Telegram’s 2024 high school football rankings. North Crowley, Aledo and Stephenville will start the season at the top of their respective classifications; select districts in the Fort Worth-area are eligible to be ranked.
