For the first time this season, there’s a new top team in the Class 6A Fort Worth-area rankings.

Trophy Club Nelson bested Southlake Carroll on Friday, moving to the No. 1 spot. The Dragons were the top Class 6A team in the rankings since the preseason.

The undefeated North Crowley Panthers also moved up due to Carroll’s loss. With a win over Arlington Lamar, Arlington Bowie jumped to No. 6.

Also, Keller Timber Creek and Saginaw Boswell leaped to No. 7 and No. 8, respectively. In the class 5A realm, Richland moved up to No. 2 following a season defining win over Mansfield Timberview; the Royals are still behind the Aledo Bearcats.
