Week five of Texas high school football is behind us.

There were plenty of dazzling performances in the Fort Worth-area. 13 schools are represented in this week’s player of the week poll: Fort Worth Christian, Southlake Carroll, Grapevine, Mansfield Summit, Richland, Hurst L.D. Bell, Keller, Crowley, Aledo, Argyle, Arlington Bowie Haslet Eaton and Trophy Club Nelson.

Which player will be named the player of the week? You decide. Whoever receives the most votes will be the winner.

Anyone can be nominated. If a performance from the upcoming week stands out, you can nominate a player by sending High School Sports Editor Charles Baggarly (cbaggarly@star-telegram.com) an email with the subject line “WEEK SIX NOMINATION.”

Without further ado, here are the nominees. Voting will close Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. CT.
