Looking for a good high school football game to watch in Week 7, but don’t want to travel far.

We have the top games in the Fort Worth area right here:

Boswell (5-0) vs. North Crowley (5-0)

7:30 p.m. Friday, Crowley ISD Stadium

The Boswell Pioneers come in scoring 40 or more points in all five games this season led by Texas A&M baseball commit Sawyer Farr (1,174 passing, 15 TDs) and Ezra Carter (826 rushing, 5 TDs). Carter has rushed for 100 yards in all five games.

Gage Ellis is Farr’s favorite target with 532 yards and seven TDs.

Boswell has out scored teams 226-82 and its defense is led by 3-star end Jaedon Langley, a player of the week this season. Langley, who has an offer from Texas Tech, has more than half of the team’s sacks.

North Crowley hasn’t scored as many points as Boswell, but the Panthers have given up 16 fewer points, allowing 13.2 per game. The best defender Friday night will come from the North Crowley side and 4-star linebacker S’Maje Burrell, a Texas commit and No. 12 on the Star-Telegram Top 100.

While the Panthers haven’t scored as many points, they do have two 50-point games.

This will go back and forth, but give me the home team Panthers, 42-38.

Argyle Liberty Christian (5-1) at Fort Worth Christian (5-0)

7 p.m. Friday

The Liberty Christian Warriors and FWC Cardinals enter Week 7 as the Top 2 teams in the Star-Telegram private school area rankings with the Cardinals going No. 1 following their impressive win over Dallas Christian last week.

Luke Anderson rushed for 239 yards and three touchdowns, and also made nine tackles to lead the Cardinals while QB Hogan Nelson threw for 159 yards and a pair of scores. Defensively, Alex Mann had 17 tackles, four for loss and two deflections.

Liberty Christian picked up its fourth straight win last week over Frisco Legacy Christian. The Warriors have five wins so far while only posting a combined seven wins over the previous three seasons.

The Warriors come in out scoring teams 211-79 and has the No. 1 QB in the area in Jacob Vaughan (1,872 passing, 20 TDs). Brady Janusek is his go-to with 736 yards and 10 TDs.

Another coin toss with the tie breaker going to the home team, give me the Cardinals 35-32.

Weatherford (4-1) vs. LD Bell (5-0)

7:30 p.m. Friday, Pennington Field

The Weatherford Kangaroos and Bell Blue Raiders have nearly scored the same amount points, 196 to 197, but the Bell defense has been the team’s biggest strength allowing 12.2 points per game.

Bell has been the best defense among all District 3-6A teams, statistically giving up the fewest points (61) in five games. The Blue Raiders are led by 3-star prospect Trey Wilson, who leads the area in total tackles. Wilson just picked up an offer from Tennessee this week to play football and track.

Weatherford is off to its best start since 2019 when the team started 5-1. The Roos come in with the fourth-most points through two district games in 3-6A and third most overall points this season. This season’s team has accounted for over 1,000 yards rushing and 14 TDs

Bell keeps it rolling, give me the Blue Raiders 28-24.

Kennedale (2-2) at Lake Worth (4-1)

7 p.m. Friday

After two years, the Kennedale Wildcats and Lake Worth Bullfrogs are back in the same district and the Bullfrogs hope for a better showing than the last meeting in 2019 when Kennedale won 48-0.

Lake Worth was two points away from being 5-0 after dropping a 17-16 loss to Granbury in Week 2, but the Bullfrogs are still playing good football with 102 points to 6 in the last two games.

Defensively they are allowing 12.6 points per game and have 10 sacks, three interceptions and six fumble recoveries.

The run-heavy Wildcats come in averaging nearly 200 yards a game on the ground and 12 TDs led by senior Cameron Lyles (383 yards, 7 TDs). But the best players on the field will come on the Kennedale D with Kansas State commit Kameron Sallis and Oklahoma State commit Poasa Utu.

It won’t be 48-0, but Kennedale still wins, give me the Wildcats 35-24.

Denton Ryan (4-1) vs. Burleson Centennial (5-0)

7 p.m. Friday, Burleson ISD Stadium

The Centennial Spartans are having their best start in program history and come in as one of 17 Fort Worth-area teams still undefeated. They’ll have their toughest task yet with perennial power Ryan, which hasn’t dropped a district game since 2014.

Centennial will need to be near perfect to get by Ryan, led by QB Phillip Hamilton and Texas Tech commit Chapman Lewis in the secondary. The Spartans are averaging over 50 points per game while only allowing 37 points total in five games.

Meanwhile Ryan isn’t too far off while out scoring teams 226-58 this season. The Raiders will also rely on their rushing attack as they have combined for 1,228 yards on the ground and 18 TDs.

This one will be a lot closer than people think, give me Ryan 28-24.
