These are the best Fort Worth-area football teams entering the 2022 Texas high school season. Check back every week to see updated rankings.

Southlake Carroll comes in as the top Class 6A team after the Dragons were the only area school to reach the state semifinals in the largest classification. District champs Arlington Martin and Euless Trinity follow.

Ten-time state champ Aledo once again tops the rankings in Class 5A.

Brock, 3A state runner-up, is the best team among area schools in Class 4A, 3A and 2A.

Fort Worth All Saints, which returns 16 starters from last season, is the area’s top private school.
