FIRST TEAM

Outside Hitters

Janet deMarrais, Sr., Grapevine: Missouri bound hitter capped her high school career with high marks of 450 kills and 461 digs, helping Mustangs to 5A state final. Recorded 29 kills and 20 digs in state semis. deMarrais was named to state all-tourney team.

Maya Duckworth, Sr., Birdville: Two-time 6-5A MVP and Iowa State signee had 486 kills, 5.2 per set, 0.297 hitting and 481 digs (5.1 per set).

Brynn Williams, Sr., Mansfield: Texas Tech signee was 11-6A Co-MVP who put together a 500-500 season with 575 kills and 531 digs for regional semifinalist.

Middle Blockers

Leah Ford, Jr., Keller: Ford was named to 6A state all-tournament team after helping Indians to state final. Finished with career highs in kills (361), hitting (0.374), aces and digs. Had 92 solo blocks and 102 total.

Reagan Engler, Jr., Colleyville Heritage: Air Force commit was voted 6-5A Blocker of the Year. 391 kills, 0.365 hitting, 170 total blocks (second in the area), 3.4 per match.

Setters

Jessica Dunn, Sr., Southlake Carroll: Career highs in assists (1,347), digs (377), kills, aces and blocks. 9-40 assist games, 17 double-doubles

Taylor Polivka, Jr., Keller: 4-6A Setter of the Year set career highs in assists (1,424) and digs (289), helping Indians to 6A final. Averaged 9.7 assists per set.

Defensive Specialists

Missy Varni, Sr., Granbury: 5-5A Defensive MVP led the area in digs (992) during the regular season. Finished with 1,011 digs (second).

Callie Humphrey, Sr., Eaton: 698 digs, 18 per match, 5.7 per set. 13-20 dig games for 6A Region 1 finalist.

Utility

Kenna Buchanan, Jr., Midlothian: The 14-5A MVP was among the leading outside hitters with a 0.377 hitting percentage. Finished with 560 kills, 426 digs, 39 aces and 46 blocks. 20 double-doubles.

SECOND TEAM

Outside Hitters

MaKenna Miller, Sr., Justin Northwest: Texas bound hitter led Texans with 399 kills, 0.284 hitting and 212 digs. Led the team to best playoff finish in over 20 years.

Madison Morrow, Sr., Argyle Liberty Christian: Helped Warriors to 41 wins and trip to TAPPS state semifinals. 461 kills, 51 aces and 400 digs.

Paige Mooney, Sr., Eaton: Texas Tech bound hitter finished with 336 kills and 550 digs for 6A Region 1 finalist.

Middle Blockers

Emily Adams, Sr., Arlington Martin: 401 kills, 3.6 per set, 0.410 hitting, 93 total blocks. Hit 0.500 or better in 12 games for 8-6A champs.

Kate Hansen, Jr., Weatherford: A Co-Blocker of the Year in 3-6A, the TCU commit finished with 455 kills and 149 total blocks (program single season record).

Setters

Mattie Gantt, Sr., Aledo: UTEP bound setter was voted 5-5A Co-MVP after finishing with 1,126 assists, 66 aces, 478 digs, 187 kills, 0.346 hitting and 25 double-doubles. 30 assists in final 9 matches and 15 of 16. Career high 62 vs. Azle 10/19.

Jadyn Gillespie, Sr., Chisholm Trail: 3-6A’s setter of the year finished with the most regular-season assists in the state and fourth in the nation. Ended with over 1,400.

Defensive Specialists

Lindsey Houran, Sr., Colleyville Heritage: 6-5A Defensive MVP and Central Oklahoma signee had 662 digs and 4.6 per set for district champ and regional semifinalist.

Jenna McMichael, Jr., Midlothian: 14-5A Defensive MVP helped district champs and 5A regional quarterfinalist with 854 digs and 6.6 per set.

Utility

Vivian Parker, Soph., Aledo: 6-5A Co-Utility MVP helped Ladycats to district title with a team-high 429 kills. Second on the team with 489 digs. Added 31 aces, 32 blocks and 22 double-doubles.

THIRD TEAM

Outside Hitters

Maddie McQueen, Sr., Chisholm Trail: 3-6A MVP wrapped up her high school career with over 500 kills and 500 digs (both team-highs). Added 50 aces and 60 total blocks.

Alea Lastinger, Sr., Grapevine: Helped Mustangs to 5A state runner-up with 356 kills. Season-high 17 kills in state semifinal win. Named to state all-tournament team.

McKenzie Cutler, Sr., Southlake Carroll: Tulane beach signee finished with career highs in kills (482), digs (379), aces and blocks for 6A regional quarterfinalist. 18 double-doubles and 17 games with 15 kills.

Middle Blockers

Reese Robins, Jr., Mansfield Timberview: 8-5A MVP and Louisville commit led the Fort Worth-area with over 700 kills and 170 blocks. Finished regular season second in Texas in kills and seventh in blocks.

Maddie Frank, Jr., Aledo: 308 kills and 0.403 hitting. Finished regular season with best hitting percentage in the area, including third in the state.

Setters

Courtney Hanson, Sr., Arlington Martin: 8-6A MVP and Ouachita Baptist bound setter finished with 1,063 assists and 60 aces. 17-30 assist games.

Reagan Fifer, Jr., Argyle Liberty Christian: 1,250 assists, 73 aces (team-high), 189 kills, 0.305 hitting and 66 blocks. 13-30 assist games.

Defensive Specialists

Keegan O’Connor, Sr., Weatherford: 3-6A Defensive MVP finished with 701 digs and 5.2 per set.

Kea Whillock, Jr., Keller: 4-6A Defensive MVP finished with over 600 digs for state runner-up. Recorded 11-20 dig games, including season-high 36 against Byron Nelson 9/10.

Utility

Maddie Pyles, Sr., Kennedale: 10-4A MVP and Montana signee finished with 452 kills, 0.350 hitting, 57 aces, 39 blocks, 314 digs and 10 double-doubles.

HONORABLE MENTION

Outside Hitters

Meagan Ledbetter, Sr., Azle: One of two players in the area to finish regular season with 500 kills and 500 digs. 556 kills and 547 digs. 3-30 kill games and double-double in 14 of final 17 matches.

Riess Griffith, Jr., Weatherford: Career-year for the junior outside with team-high 516 kills. Added 55 blocks and 267 digs. Set program single season record for kills.

Madi Parrish, Jr., Boswell: Led the 3-6A champs with 413 kills. Parrish added 432 digs and 15 double-doubles.

Middle Blockers

Ellie Alexander, Sr., Granbury: UT-Tyler bound hitter was co-utility MVP in 5-5A. Finished with 368 kills, 464 digs, 42 solo blocks and 106 total blocks.

Stephanie Gutierrez, Jr., Boswell: Named 3-6A Co-Blocker of the Year with 62 solo blocks and 108 total, 4.3 blocks per match. Added 301 kills and a 0.410 hitting percentage.

Setters

Bailey Lasater, Sr., Burleson Centennial: 1,149 assists, 9.7 per set, 375 digs, 49 blocks, 35 aces and . 13-30 assist games. Set the program single season record in assists.

Angie Brothers, Sr., Mansfield Legacy: 939 assists, 271 digs and 44 aces for district and bi-district champs. 11-30 assist games, double-digit assists in all but one game.

Defensive Specialists

Emma Dustin, Sr., Burleson: Libero of the Year in 8-5A had 729 digs and 5.7 per set for district champs.

Makenna Dillow, Jr., Azle: 904 digs, 23 per match, 7.5 per set. Double-digit digs in all but two games. 15-30 assist games.

Utility

Railey Druxman, Sr., Springtown: Voted best server in 7-4A, Druxman recorded 500 kills, 355 assists, 369 digs, 56 blocks and team-high 54 aces.
