Byron Nelson, Mansfield Summit roll in second round and more from the Fort Worth area

Byron Nelson 63, El Paso Eastlake 14
Jake Wilson threw for 264 yards and four touchdowns as the Bobcats beat Eastlake in a Class 6A Division 2 area round game Friday night at Wolfforth Frenship.
Byron Nelson (9-3) will play Denton Guyer (11-1) in the regional round at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Ford Center in Frisco.
Michael Giordano rushed for 100 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns for Byron. Giordano’s first touchdown came from 12 yards to give the Bobcats a 14-7 lead late in the first quarter.
Wilson scored on a keeper and Aaron Darden scored on a 2-yard run that upped the lead to 28-7. Wilson and Landon Ransom-Goelz connected on early third quarter touchdowns to make it 42-7.
Mansfield Summit 56, El Paso Chapin 7
Orlando Scales and Kerya Powell scored early and Summit rolled past Chapin in a Class 5A Division 1 area round game on Friday in Midland.
Summit (9-3), which reached the state semis last season, will play district opponent Midlothian (8-4) in the regional semifinals at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Gopher-Warrior Bowl in Grand Prairie.
Scales scored on a 38-yard run and Powell made a 40-yard touchdown catch to get Summit going. The Jaguars led 35-0 after the first quarter.
Scales scored again and Keon Hobbs added a touchdown run to make it 42-0 in the second. Hobbs scored from 55 yards and the lead was 49-0 early in the third quarter.
Midlothian 21, Lubbock Coronado 17
Midlothian forced four turnovers and Coronado missed a late red zone chance as the Panthers prevailed in a Class 5A Division 1 area round game on Friday in Abilene.
The Panthers (8-4), who will play Summit next, led 21-0 before Coronado rallied back. Midlothian stopped Coronado on a fourth down to regain possession with 4:18 left to play.
Midlothian picked off a pass early in the first quarter and turned it into a Michael Garber 5-yard touchdown run. Coronado fumbled on its next drive and the Panthers scored on Garber’s 45-yard run.
The Panthers upped their lead to three scores after a 95-yard scoring drive in the second quarter.
Aledo 57, Frisco Liberty 14
Ryan Williams and Sammy Steffe scored three touchdowns each as the Bearcats rolled by the Redhawks in a Class 5A Division 2 area round game on Friday in Denton.
Aledo (12-0) gets South Oak Cliff (11-1) in the regional semifinals at 2 p.m. Friday at Mansfield’s Newsom Stadium.
The game was tied at 7-7 following a touchdown by Liberty quarterback Keldric Luster, but the Bearcats scored the next 33 points to grab a 40-7 lead after three quarters.
Luster scored Liberty’s other touchdowns.
Connor Smith and Caleb Pope scored late touchdowns for Aledo.
