Burleson Centennial upsets Justin Northwest and more from Fort Worth area in bi-district

Burleson Centennial 28, Justin Northwest 21
Phillip Hamilton’s second touchdown of the night provided Burleson Centennial enough cushion to hold off Northwest Friday night in the 5A Division 1 bi-district game.
Hamilton had 128 yards rushing and 86 yards passing to lead the Spartans (5-6) to the upset win on the road. Centennial held leads of 14-0 and 28-14 and was never tied or trailed the Texans (7-4) during the game.
The Spartans will take on Amarillo Tascosa in the area round next week.
Dallas Jesuit 69, Arlington 36
Ryan Fitzgerald’s big day led Jesuit to a 69-36 win over Arlington in the Class 6A Division 2 bi-district game on Friday night. Fitzgerald rushed for 175 yards and five touchdowns in the win for the Rangers (10-1).
Jesuit jumped on Arlington early, holding a 20-9 lead after the first quarter. The Rangers tallied 614 yards of offense and scored at least twice in every quarter.
Jesuit will meet Denton Guyer in the area round.
Midlothian 21, Brewer 17
Chad Ragle’s touchdown pass with about six minutes left in the fourth quarter was enough for Midlothian to escape with a 21-17 road win in the Class 5A Division 1 bi-district game on Friday night.
Ragle’s second touchdown of the night was to Bryan West from four yards out that saw the Panthers and Bears exchange leads four times in the fourth quarter.
Jordan Richburg rushed for 122 yards in the win, which sets up a meeting against Lubbock Coronado in the area round next Friday in Abilene.
Southlake Carroll 42, North Crowley 20
Owen Allen became Carroll’s all-time leading rusher with his 129-yard performance Friday in the 6A Division 1 bi-district game, leading Carroll to the 42-20 win over North Crowley.
Allen also rushed for three touchdowns to go along with his record-setting day. Carroll (11-0) led 28-0 at one point before North Crowley (7-4) got on the board late in the first half.
The Dragons extended that lead to 42-7 before a couple of garbage-time scores in the fourth for North Crowley. Carroll will play Midland Legacy next Saturday at Globe Life Field.
Euless Trinity 47, Keller 21
Trinity shook off a slow start to blow out Keller 47-21 in the Class 6A Division 1 bi-district game on Friday night at Pennington Field.
Keller (6-5) led 14-0 before Trinity (10-1) rattled off 17 straight points. 4-star Oklahoma State commit Ollie Gordon rushed for five scores and 195 yards to lead the Trojans.
Trinity put the game out of reach by scoring 21 unanswered points in the third to cap off the 38-point run to turn the two-score deficit into a 24-point lead. The Trojans meet Odessa Permian in the area round at 2 p.m. next Saturday at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.
Colleyville Heritage 63, Abilene Cooper 21
Colleyville jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead in the first six minutes of the game on the way to a 63-21 route of Abilene Cooper in the 5A Division 1 bi-district game at Mustang-Panther Stadium.
The Panthers out-gained the Cougars, 349-130, led by Hogan Wasson snaring nine passes for 149 yards and two scores. After the first quarter, Heritage led 28-7 and continued its domination throughout the rest of the game, scoring the final 35 points of the game.
Heritage takes on Amarillo in the area round.
Kennedale 37, Brownwood 7
EJ Higgins toted the ball 21 times for 177 yards and two scores to lead Kennedale to the 37-7 win over Brownwood Friday night in the 4A Division 1 bi-district game.
The Wildcats (10-1) also got 125 yards rushing and a touchdown from Jerree Mills as part of Kennedale’s dominant rushing attack. Kennedale out-gained Brownwood 417-151 and forced four Brownwood turnovers.
Kennedale meets with reigning 4A Division 1 state champion Argyle in the area round.
