Trinity beats Bell for 24th straight year and more from Week 5 in the Fort Worth area

Euless Trinity 48, LD Bell 0

Ollie Gordon scored five times to lead Euless Trinity to a rout over district rival LD Bell on Thursday night at Choctaw Stadium. The Trojans have defeated the Blue Raiders in 24 straight seasons and improved their record to 37-14-2 all-time in the series.

Trinity (4-1, 2-0 in District 3-6A) beat Bell, 59-0, last season, the largest margin of victory in 53 meetings.

The Trojans got touchdown runs of 56, 39 and 56 yards from Gordon, a 4-star Oklahoma State commit, on three straight plays in the first half, which helped Trinity hold a 34-0 lead at the half.

Gordon finished the game with just 18 carries for 246 yards, playing just one drive into the second half after scoring on an 11-yard touchdown run 16 seconds into the third quarter.

Bell (0-5, 0-2), which finished with 103 total yards, was led by Emmanuel Oluwasile (23 carries, 71 yards).

Aledo 51, Everman 7

Aledo ran its district winning streak to 98 straight games with a dominating victory over Everman Friday night.

The game was competitive in the first half with Aledo (5-0, 2-0 in District 5-5A Division 2) holding just a 21-7 lead at the break. In the third quarter, the Bearcats blew the game wide open thanks to a unstoppable rushing attack, which led to a 23-0 scoring margin and a 43-7 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Southlake Carroll 68, Bryon Nelson 7

After the teams traded opening-possession touchdowns, Southlake Carroll put the clamps down defensively and proceeded to score the game’s final 61 points during its win over Byron to open District 4-6A play.

Carroll (5-0, 1-0 in 4-6A) scored on 10 of its 12 drives in the game and amassed 602 yards, including Owen Allen rushing for 146 yards on 16 carries. He also scored four times.

Kaden Anderson was 13 of 17 for 244 yards and three touchdowns, all of which going to Landon Samson, who hauled in eight passes for 131 yards. The South Carolina was limited last week vs. Arlington Martin (one catch, 14 yards).

Carroll recorded four interceptions on the night and added a fumble recovery as well.

Jake Wilson completed 23 passes for Bryon Nelson (3-2, 0-1) for 245 yards and a touchdown.

Grand Prairie 31, Sam Houston 19

Grand Prairie scored on its first three drives of the game on its way to a key District 8-6A win over Arlington Sam Houston.

Savion Red racked up 303 total yards – 203 passing and 100 rushing – and two rushing scores to lead the Gophers (2-3, 1-0). As a team, they tallied 532 total yards with 329 of it coming on the ground, led by Drew Damper with 153 yard on 18 carries and three scores.

Justin Tone completed 16 passes for 229 yards and one score to lead Sam Houston (3-2, 0-1), but fumbles hurt the Texans in the loss, which resulted in seven Grand Prairie points.

Colleyville Heritage 45, Richland 29

Colleyville Heritage only had one offensive touchdown on the night in its win over Richland in a District 4-5A Division 1 opener.

After going up 10-7 late in the first quarter, Heritage (3-1, 1-0) got an interception returned for a score in the second quarter; a kickoff return for a touchdown to open the second half; another interception returned for a score later in third; a missed field goal returned for a score early in the fourth; and a second kickoff return for a touchdown in the fourth.

Heritage only amassed 287 offensive yards in the win and allowed 405 yards to Richland (3-1, 0-1), but forced three turnovers. Weston Smith led Heritage with 131 yards passing, and Luke Ullrich and Isaac Shabay combined for 89 yards rushing.

SMU commit CJ Neslon had 152 yards passing, 142 yards rushing and three total touchdowns for the Royals.

Mansfield Summit 47, Burleson Centennial 26

Orlando Scales and Keon Hobbs combined for 195 rushing yards to help lead Mansfield Summit to a District 4-5A D1 win over Burleson Centennial on Friday night.

Summit (2-2, 1-0) held just a 7-0 lead after the first quarter, but blew the game open by outscoring Centennial (1-3, 0-1) 26-13 in the second quarter to go into the break 33-13.

Summit scored on four of its five possessions in the second quarter, including two touchdown runs by Hobbs.

Iverson Moore completed 10 passes for 202 yards and three scores to lead Centennial. Two of those touchdowns went to David Clerk, who hauled in five passes for 144 yards. Clerk’s 79-yard touchdown reception closed the Summit lead to 40-26 late in the third, which was as close as Centennial would get.

Alvarado 41, North Dallas 7

Jayden Bridgewater had two first-quarter rushing touchdowns as Alvarado scored the game’s first 41 points over North Dallas on Thursday to pick up its first win of the year.

Kameron Webb also had two rushing scores for Alvarado (1-4) and finished with a game-high 138 yards rushing on 13 attempts (10.6 yards per carry). Bridgewater finished with nine rushing attempts for 48 yards.

Alvarado’s defense limited North Dallas (1-3) to 90 total yards on the night with only 12 coming on the ground on 19 attempts. The Indians finished with 379 total yards and didn’t attempt a single punt.

Weatherford 47, Haltom 16

Ryan Clark scored all of Weatherford’s touchdowns and had 291 total yards in a big district win over Haltom on Thursday night. The Kangaroos improved their record to 2-0 in 3-6A and 3-2 overall.

Haltom (1-4, 1-1) held a 14-7 lead after one quarter before Weatherford scored 33 unanswered points in the second quarter to put the game away, which included back-to-back interception returns for scores – one by Greg O’Bannon from 30 yards out and the other by Trey Rucker from 75 yards.

Weatherford forced five turnovers on the night, including three fumbles.

Clark’s 209 rushing yards led a Weatherford ground attack, which racked up 316 yards.

Pilot Point 31, Peaster 13

Pilot Point fended off Peaster’s comeback bid to open District 4-3A Division 1 play on Friday night.

Pilot Point (2-2, 1-0) held a 21-6 lead before Peaster (3-1, 0-1) closed the game to 21-13 late in the third quarter. Pilot Pilot scored the game’s final 10 points to close out the win.
