Dallas-Fort Worth area high school football defensive player of the week from Northwest

Justin Northwest’s Gavino Ramos was voted Week 2 DFW high school football defensive player of the week.

Ramos got 57% of the votes. He recorded 15 tackles, 1 INT and a fumble recovery to help Northwest win its first game of the season, 28-16 vs McKinney North.

Arlington Sam Houston’s Jacoby Hildreth came in second. Burleson’s Luke Peterson came in third and Keller Central’s Darius Graham came in fourth. A total of eight players were nominated on Tuesday.
