Southlake Carroll pulls off wild victory and more from Week 2 in the Fort Worth area

Southlake Carroll 36, Rockwall-Heath 35
Senior Calder Bray blocked a potential game-winning field goal and the Dragons rallied to beat the Hawks stunning the Rockwall home crowd on Thursday at Wilkerson-Sanders Stadium.
Carroll (2-0), the No. 3 ranked Class 6A team in the state rankings and No. 1 in the Fort Worth-area, trailed by 18 points twice in the game. The Hawks (1-1) drove down the field to set up the go-ahead 29-yard field goal with five second left.
Heath, missed all three field goal attempts on the night.
The Hawks led 14-3 in the first quarter following a 60-yard touchdown from Josh Hoover to Jordan Nabors. They increased the lead to 21-3 early in the second on a touchdown run from running back Zach Evans.
Heath first went up 18 at 28-10 in the third until Carroll quarterback Kaden Anderson scored on a 3-yard run. The Hawks answered on their ensuing drive for their second 18-point lead at 35-17 midway through the period.
Anderson hit South Carolina commit Landon Samson on a touchdown pass and Owen Allen ran in a score to give Carroll its first lead at 36-35 in the fourth quarter. Allen rushed for 117 yards on 21 carries. Anderson threw for 354 yards, and Samson made eight catches for 153 yards.
Arlington Seguin 68, Fort Worth Wyatt 18
Arlington Seguin picked up its first win with a 50-point victory over Wyatt on Thursday at Choctaw Stadium.
The Cougars (1-1) led 47-12 at intermission with touchdowns from Oklahoma commit Xavion Brice (3), Elijah Armstrong (2), Malachi Pearson and Naszae Otieno.
Brian Roussel had two first-half interceptions.
Wyatt (0-2) would score on a pair of Kaid Barrett TDs.
Seguin extended its lead to 54-18 with a Emaceo Davis to Naszir Otieno TD pass with 9:46 left in the third quarter. The pair connected again for a 61-18 lead midway through the period. Seguin’s final points came in the fourth quarter on a Kayden Randall TD.
Keller 27, Braswell 23
Tre Guerra threw for 222 yards and three touchdowns and Austin Coleman rushed 19 times for 109 yards as the Indians picked up the win over the Bengals on Thursday at Collins Complex.
The Indians improved to 2-0 while the Bengals dropped to 1-1.
Holding onto a 27-23 lead late in the game, Keller intercepted its third pass attempt of the night to seal the win. The Indians took the lead for good on a 90-yard TD pass from Guerra to Amari Henry with 2:07 left in the third quarter. Henry finished with 144 yards receiving.
Coleman rushed in a 77-yard TD that gave Keller a 20-16 lead. Braswell led 16-13 at halftime.
Argyle Liberty Christian 55, Frisco Legacy Christian 13
The Jason Witten era began with a roaring victory Friday night in Frisco as the Warriors opened with a 22-point first quarter giving the former Dallas Cowboy tight end his first career win.
Witten, who spent 16 seasons with Dallas, was hired at Liberty in February.
He was celebrated with a traditional Gatorade bath.
The Warriors (1-0) led 35-6 at halftime.
Chisholm Trail 35, Denton 14
For the first time in the program’s 10-year history, the Rangers are off to a 2-0 start after taking down the Broncos on Friday during homecoming.
The Rangers won one game last season and averaged three wins over the past three seasons. They’ve won no more than four games in a single season.
Jeremiah Dowell opened the scoring with a touchdown in the first quarter and the lead extended to 14-0 in the second on a TD pass from Samuel LaBruyere to Joel Kaira.
Jaden Fisher’s 35-yard TD catch and run pushed it to 21-7 with 2:23 left in the first half. Chisholm Trail’s final points came on a 59-yard TD run from Shone Mombo in the third and Jess Cantrell 19-yard run in the fourth.
Arlington Martin 59, Hebron 15
The Warriors scored the first 29 points in their win over the Hawks for the team’s first victory of the season Friday night at Choctaw Stadium.
Martin led 8-0 with 5:09 left in the opening quarter on a 31-yard TD pass from Cydd Ford to Zaire Barrow. 5-star cornerback Javien Toviano converted a 2-point try.
Toviano, who is ranked No. 8 in the Star-Telegram Top 100 players, scored on a 1-yard run and added another 2-point try to make it 16-0 late in the quarter. Toviano is projected to commit with Texas. Ford (No. 92) connected with Barrow again on a 22-yard score and 22-0 lead in the second.
Ford threw two more long TD passes to up the lead to 29-0 with 7:27 left in the second quarter. Ford then hit Sergio Snider, who transferred from Nolan Catholic, on another Martin score late in the first half. Toviano added another TD and picked off a pass for the Warriors in the second half.
